Starting Saturday morning, lanes for Interstate 70 east through downtown Columbus will split at 4th Street and rejoin just before I-71. The Ohio Department of Transportation says the two-month traffic pattern will allow crews space to construct the next bridge pier for the new entrance ramp from Fulton St.
The left lane will continue to carry I-70 east traffic, the middle lane will be for I-70 east or I-71 north, and the right lane remains for I-71 north or traffic exiting to Parsons Ave. ODOT urges drivers to pay extra attention to the lane assignment signs.
