AG Creating Grant Program To Help Test For THC

Ohio Public Radio

The Ohio Attorney General says he is creating a grant program to help local law enforcement agencies test between hemp and marijuana.

David Yost made the announcement yesterday, in the wake of a new state law which legalized the growth and production of hemp and CBD oil.  Several local police departments have said the new law makes it impossible to enforce drug laws because they don't have a process to differentiate the THC levels between hemp and marijuana.  Yost says the grant will provide 50-thousand dollars to have samples sent to laboratories with the capacity to test THC levels.
