The Columbus Art Commission has approved the removal of the Christopher Columbus statue from the City Hall grounds, in response to Mayor Andy Ginther’s call last week.
Commission Chair Diane Nance says the public will be able to weigh-in on new art work for the grounds. She says it will take time to decide what piece will be placed there and to raise the money for the necessary costs.
