nydailynews.com

Bond is set at 300 thousand dollars for the former Portsmouth City Council member charged with human trafficking, racketeering and other counts.

Michael Mearan, a longtime area attorney, has posted bond and is now free after pleading not guilty. The charges follow an investigation showing he victimized six females from 2003 to 2018.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
