Bond Set For Suspect In U.A. Double-Shooting

Upper Arlington Police

The woman charged with shooting her parents in their Upper Arlington home last week is scheduled to appear in court this Friday.

31-year-old Kristin Roth is being held on a one million dollar bond on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault. Police say Roth shot and killed her father James and wounded her mother Elizabeth at their Colchester Road home last Thursday. Authorities have yet to disclose a possible motive in the case. James Roth was a longtime engineer for the Ohio Department of Transportation. Elizabeth Roth is a nurse at Riverside Hospital.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
