CCS Administrator Who Also Held Job With Philadelphia Schools Resigns

The Columbus City Schools' chief academic officer has resigned, after district officials learned from a Pennsylvania radio report that she simultaneously held a similar position for the Philadelphia school district.  

Tracy Ocasio, who was hired in Columbus a year ago, was placed on paid leave last Tuesday, and resigned last Thursday, according to a district spokesperson.  Philadelphia hired Ocasio  as deputy director of curriculum and instruction in May.  

A native of Chicago, naturalized citizen of Cincinnati and resident of Columbus, Alison attended Earlham College and the Ohio State University. She has equal passion for Midwest history, hockey and Slavic poetry.
Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
