CCS Boss Admits District Has Public Trust Issues

ccsoh.us

51 thousand Columbus City Schools students start classes today. The district is reminding drivers to be aware of students as they cross streets to get to school or board one of the district's 750 buses. Superintendent Dan Good says this year there are new buildings, like Ecole Kenwood and the Spanish Immersion Academy, 200 new teachers, and new and expanded programs.

Good says the district is also implementing some new safety protocols this year.

The district has a combined levy on the ballot this fall, asking voters for 6.92 mills.  Good says he knows the district has some trust issues, following the attendance data rigging and test score scandals, and the  failure of a levy request in  2014.
