Charges Filed After Truck Crashes Into Fairfield County Hospital

dileyridgemedicalcenter.com

Fairfield County Sheriff's deputies have filed murder charges after a truck crashed into a hospital Friday, killing one person, in what deputies are investigating as an intentional attack.

Deputies say 61-year-old hospital employee Scott Davis of Canal Winchester was killed when 45--year-old Raymond Leinendeck of Baltimore drove a truck into Diley Ridge Medical Center. Two others were injured, one critically. All were standing at the front desk when the truck struck the building. There was no sign Leinendeck applied pressure to the brakes before the crash, so deputies say it may have been intentional. Deputies say Leinendeck was upset by a psychological evaluation he'd just undergone at the hospital. Leiendecker is being held on 5 million dollars cash or surety and a 500 thousand dollar recognizance bond. Diley Ridge is an affiliate of Mount Carmel Health System.
