A 12-year-old Mansfield boy who was shaken as a baby and spent 11 years on life support died Sunday at a Columbus hospital. The case of Aiden Stein drew national attention when his parents fought to keep him alive after a guardian appointed by a probate judge sought to have him removed from life support. The Ohio Supreme Court ruled in December 2004 the guardian lacked the authority to make the decision. The father, Matthew Stein, was convicted in September 2005 of causing the child's injuries and served eight years in prison.
