Cincinnati Supports Constitutional Voting Rights Amendment

wcpo.com

Cincinnati is the first city in the nation to back an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would guarantee the right to vote.  City Council has approved a resolution to support Reverend Jesse Jackson's proposal to make voting a constitutionally-protected right. Jackson says the Voting Rights Act gives states too much leeway on election laws and opens the door to voter suppression.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
