City Attorney Tells Cops Not To Enforce State Law Used To Arrest Stormy Daniels

columbuscityattorney.org

The Columbus city attorney has recommended police not enforce the state law cited to arrest porn start Stormy Daniels last week.

Democrat Zach Klein says future charges filed under that law will not be prosecuted. Klein has also dismissed charges brought against two other employees arrested with Daniels.   The law states dancers at "sexually oriented" businesses are prohibited from touching customers and vice versa. Klein says the law's applicability depends on how regularly the employee performs. He also says employees who touch police are not in violation because on-duty public officials are not legally considered patrons.  The Columbus Fraternal Order of police has denied claims by Daniels' attorney that the arrest of his client was politically motivated. The attorney says he applauds Klein's decision.
