City Of Columbus Drafting Anti-Violence Plan

Columbus city officials are preparing to draft an anti-violence plan. Mayor Andy Ginther says he's talking with  community leaders, clergy and residents about ways to stop gun crimes after last week's shooting death of a seven-year-old boy. Activists say job programs and activities to keep young people out of gangs will go a long way. The city implemented anti-gang and after school programs under former Mayor Michael Coleman.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
