The City of Columbus has closed a west side home that officials say was a haven for criminal and drug activity.

The city attorney's office says in a news release police and paramedics have been called  to the home at 1915 West Mound Street several times over a period of more than a year.

In October, officers seized methampehtamines, marijuana, heroin and other drugs from the home. Authorities first became aware of suspicious activity on the property in November of 2017 when paramedics were unable to revive a drug overdose victim.

Since then, authorities have responded to numerous other incidents, including weapons violations, burglary, fights, disturbances, stolen vehicles and multiple drug overdoses.
