Cleveland City Council last night voted to delay for six months the adoption of Cuyahoga County’s ban on plastic bags.
Council voted to pursue legislation that officials say will be friendlier to businesses. If Cleveland doesn't come up with its own plastic bag law by June First, the city will fall under the county's ban. State lawmakers are working on legislation that would prevent local communities like Bexley and Cuyahoga County from adopting such bans.
