Cleveland Indians To Further Extend Protective Netting

BALLPARKSOFBASEBALL.COM

The Cleveland Indians say they will extend safety netting to the right- and left-field foul poles at their ballpark this season, and will increase the height of the nets to 33 feet.

Several other major and minor league teams, including the Columbus Clippers, have extended the netting to protect fans from being hit by foul balls.  The Cincinnati Reds have not yet announced their plans to comply with new regulations from Major League Baseball.
