Closed Strip Club Sues City, Former Vice Officers

yelp.com

The owners of a now-defunct north side strip club have filed a lawsuit against vice officers and the City of Columbus, alleging the club and its dancers were targeted in retaliation for balking at an officer’s demand to rehire a former bouncer.

The suit alleges former vice unit officers Steve Rosser and Whitney Lancaster acted without legal justification. The suit says after bouncer was fired in 2017, Rosser demanded to owners of Kahoots that he be rehired or they would be cited repeatedly.  The club was later cited for violating a state law, charges the city attorney's office subsequently dismissed.  The city is not commenting on this suit. Rosser and Lancaster have been named in other lawsuits involving the club,  performers and porn star Stormy Daniels.
