Students in the Columbus City Schools begin spring break on Friday, and city and district officials want them to stay safe and active. Columbus Mayor Andy Ginther says there are plenty of options, including programs at the city's recreation centers.

Thecity has posed a list of activities in the "School's Out" initiative online.  Ginther says police will have an increased presence over the ten-day break. Those officers plan to visit with young people.
