Columbus City Attorney Race Features Kline Versus Klein

columbuscityattorney.org

Two men with the last name of Klein will be running for Columbus City Attorney next year.  The Franklin County Republican party's central committee has tapped 41-year-old attorney Don Kline to run for the seat being vacated by Rick Pfeifer. Kline lost his race for a seat on the Franklin County Common Pleas Court last November.  He'll face Democratic Columbus City Council president Zach Klein. He lost his bid for Franklin County Prosecutor to incumbent Ron O'Brien in November, despite having a fundraising advantage due in part to donations from out-of-state individuals and organizations. Pfeiffer and Columbus Mayor Andy Ginther have endorsed the council president. Pfeiffer recently announced his retirement, but plans to stay in office through the end of his term next December 31.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
