Columbus Cop Cleared Of Criminal Wrongdoing In Shooting Of Robbery Suspect

publiceyes.org

The Columbus police firearms review board says an officer acted within division policy when he shot and wounded an 18-year-old armed robbery suspect in July of last year.

Todd Cramblett shot Julius Core at the suspect's apartment complex following the robbery of an East Dublin-Granville Road bank. Core fled and was arrested at a nearby fast-food restaurant after taking people hostage. He was later sentenced to nine years in prison.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
