A Franklin County grand jury has indicted a former Columbus police spokesperson on four felony counts of sending and receiving videos and images of children having sex with adults.
51-year-old Sergeant Dean Worthington will be arraigned Friday. County Sheriff's deputies began investigating Worthington in May after being notified by a social media site that child pornography had been uploaded. His attorney says Worthington will plead not guilty. Police officials have said Worthington was relieved of duty on July 17 and will be assigned to desk duty upon his return.
