Columbus City Council last night approved a 450 thousand dollar settlement with porn star Stormy Daniels, who sued the police officers who she alleged wrongfully arrested her at a strip club last year.

Daniels, whose legal name is Steffanie Clifford, named the city, Commander Terry Moore, and Officers Shana Keckley, Whitney Lancaster, Mary Praither and Steven Rosser as defendants. City Solicitor Lara Baker-Morrish notes the charges were dropped hours afterDaniels’ arrest:

Council also approved a 300 thousand dollar settlement with former police trainee Sarah Wheeler, who sued after she was terminated for poor job performance. She claimed she was asked in front of an all-male precinct to climb onto a table and dance, and claims a male sergeant told her women shouldn’t be police officers. Baker-Morrish says it would have cost the city even more to fight the suit:

When asked by Council members if any policy or training changes were  made afterward, Deputy Safety Director Kate Pishotti said she would have to get back to them. Council also approved a 32-thousand-500 dollar settlement with Ramon Clifford, who sued for damages after his car was rear-ended by a police cruiser.
