Columbus Euthanized 250 Downtown Geese

The City of Columbus has paid nearly 11 thousand dollars to euthaize 250 geese that populated the Scioto River downtown.

The Department of Recreation and Parks obtained a state permit to have the geese euthanized in late June. The city paid a different service 15 thousand dollars to scare the geese away with dogs and loud noises last year, but that didn't work as well as officials had hoped.
