The Arena Football League has chosen Columbus for a new expansion team, which will begin play in April.
Two previous AFL franchises in Columbus failed. The Thunderbolts played in 1991 and the Destroyers played from 2004 to 2008. The new team name and coaching staff have yet to ben announced.
