The man charged with shooting and wounding another man inside of the Columbus Metropolitan Library's main branch in June has been sentenced to 8 and 1/2 years in prison.

28-year-old Joseph Steward pleaded guilty to felonious assault and inducing panic. Prosecutors say Steward opened fire after an argument with the victim, 47-year-old John Thrasher. Thrasher sustained a wound to one of his ankles.
