Columbus Police/School Officials Encourage Dialogue About Seriousness Of Threats

twitter.com

Many schools in and around central Ohio either canceled classes today or increased police presence amid several threats seen on social media.

Columbus Police Deputy Chief Michael Woods says the increased presence seen around many Columbus schools today will continue.
Woods says detectives from three different investigative units are being used to help find out who's behind the threats. He adds that serious charges including felony counts are possible. Columbus City Schools Interim Superintendent John Stanford says the district has a zero tolerance policy of students possessing weapons on school grounds.
