Columbus Preparing To Settle Castleberry Family's Lawsuit Against Former Vice Cop

YouTube.com

Court documents show the City of Columbus is preparing to settle for 1 million dollars a lawsuit filed by the family of a woman killed by an undercover vice officer in August 2018.

Andrew Mitchell is charged with killing 28-year old Donna Castleberry inside his car during a prostitution sting.  Prosecutors say Miller was in plainclothes and did not have police ID, and that Castelberry feared she was being kidnapped.  Castelberry's family filed a lawsuit against the city, Miller, and now former police chief Kim Jacobs.

A native of Chicago, naturalized citizen of Cincinnati and resident of Columbus, Alison attended Earlham College and the Ohio State University. She has equal passion for Midwest history, hockey and Slavic poetry.
