Columbus city officials are reviewing the first applications from people who want to drive for app-based ridesharing services operating in the city. More than 140 people have requested licenses amid new regulations now in effect for the services. The companies and drivers are now subject to tougher insurance requirements, vehicle inspections and background checks.
