Columbus teachers will vote on a new contract agreement with the Columbus City Schools in two weeks.
After months of negotiations, the two sides announced last week that they had reached a "conceptual agreement". The Columbus Education Association asked for increased pay, smaller class sizes, improved disciplinary procedures and more stability for music, art and physical education programs. Neither side has released details of the agreement. The CEA says the vote will take place on Sunday, August 25th. Classes in the district resume August 22.
