Columbus Water And Sewer Rates To Rise Next Year

Columbus and Franklin County residents could be paying more for their water and sewer service next year. Columbus City Council will vote later this month on a proposed three-percent hike in water and sewer rates. It amounts to an average increase of 31-dollars a year for city residents. The money would help pay for improvement projects mandated by regulators.  Council is scheduled to vote on the hikes at its November 21st meeting, but in prior years it has held a public hearing prior to a vote.
