COTA Board Approves November Levy Request

Apr 28, 2016

The Central Ohio Transit Authority is heading to the ballot this November to renew a 10-year old, quarter percent sales and use tax that has helped the agency double its service since 2006.

The agency's board of trustees on Wednesday formally approved placing the request on the ballot, according to a news release. COTA President Curtis Stitt says the agency has been aggressive about working with communities and businesses to get people to job centers. He says the money is need to maintain service levels.
