COTA Drivers Say Self-Operating Shuttles Will Cost Jobs

Unionized Central Ohio Transit Authority workers are waging a campaign against driverless buses.

Union members have been passing out flyers warning rides about technology they say is unsafe and will cost jobs.  At issue is the Smart City project that includes a self-driving shuttle bus.  Columbus city officials say the shuttle is two years away and will involve a supervisor. The union and COTA are in the midst of contract negotiations.
