Council Approves New Firefighters Contract

Columbus firefighters are now working under a new contract. City Council on Monday approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement that has been ratified by the city's firefighter's union. Sponsoring council member Emmanuel Remy says the deal includes no pay hikes in the first year:

Remy says the previous deal expired in November, and the new agreement comes with a 17.6 million dollar pricetag.
