County Auditor Refunding $3.5 Million In Appraisal Funds

The Franklin County Auditor's office is refunding 3.5 million dollars to schools, libraries, and municipalities. 2.3  million goes to school districts, with Columbus getting the largest chunk at 789 thousand dollars. Cities and villages will get 268 thousand, townships will get 170 thousand, libraries will get nearly 96 thousand, and county agencies will get 670 thousand dollars.

The money being refunded was collected for real estate reappraisals and triennial updates.
