The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says unemployment rates in several central Ohio counties rose last month. The rates for Columbus and Franklin County rose by 3 tenths of a point to 6 percent in May. Columbus had the lowest rate among the state’s metropolitan areas. Five other central Ohio counties - Union, Delaware, Fairfield, Licking and Pickaway - saw their jobless rates increase. The rate in Madison County was the same as in the month of April.
