County Treasurer To Become BOE Director

Sep 7, 2016

Ed Leonard

Franklin County Treasurer Ed Leonard has been appointed to head the county Board of Elections.

He takes over for William Anthony, who resigned last month following his indictment on charges of approving the falsified time sheets submitted by a board employee. Leonard served as deputy elections director between 1998 and 2001. Leonard lost his re-election bid for the treasurer's office in March. He starts on September 19, three days after he formally leaves his treasurer's position.
