Court Ruling Allows Columbus' Bump Stock Ban To Take Effect

The 10th Ohio District Court of Appeals says two pro-gun groups who sued to try and block Columbus' bump stock ban have no standing to do so.

The ruling means the ban is back in effect, and sends the case back to a Franklin County judge, who ruled the ban was unconstitutional, but the ordinance that created it was enforceable.  Ohioans for Concealed Carry and the Buckeye Firearms Foundation filed suits over the ban and other restrictions enacted in 2018. The plaintiffs are considering an appeal.
