Columbus Crew SC today announced the groundbreaking of its future training facility. The 42,000 square-foot OhioHealth Performance Center will be located on the team’s existing stadium site and adjacent to the city’s community sports park.

"It's going to be great," defender Jonathan Mensah said of the new facility. "Getting out here, getting some training in, growing as a team, and preparing for games is going to be great for us. To even have this kind of ownership come on board and sacrifice everything for us, they want to do everything in their power to help the community, the team, and all of Columbus. We just can't wait for that."

Features include rooms for film, weight training, and hydrotherapy. The facility will also include natural grass fields and the ability to integrate the team’s talent development academy. It’s scheduled to open in the summer of 2021.
