Dayton Plaza, Bridge To Be Renamed For Late U.S. Ambassador

wikipedia

The City of Dayton will name a plaza and a bridge after the late U.S. Ambassador Richard Holbrooke this November. The dedication ceremonies will be part of the area's celebration of the 20th anniversary of the 1995 Dayton peace accords, which ended the war in Bosnia. Holbrooke brokered the agreement at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The plaza will include historical plaques and the flags of the United States and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Holbrooke died in 2010.
