The New Jersey man convicted last year in a multi-million dollar sports beverage scam has been sentenced in Columbus to nearly seven and a half years in prison and pay about 8 million dollars restitution.
43-year-old Kevin Foster and two others collected money from investors in the sports and music industries to launch a beverage called OXYwater. Prosecutors say the money was used to fund Foster's lavish lifestyle. Foster served as business manager for R&B artist Ne-Yo. Former Ohio State football player Preston Harrison and Thomas Jackson of Powell were previously convicted in the scheme.
