Hamilton County Democrats are criticizing a tweet made by Democratic county auditor Dusty Rhodes.
Party chair Gwen McFarlin says his comment last Friday comparing the Black Lives Matter movement to the abortion debate is "racist and sexist." Rhodes posted quote: "Just wondering when they are going to paint "Black Lives Matter" on Auburn Avenue" end quote. It was an apparent reference to Cincinnati's Planned Parenthood clinic, where according to Rhodes, "they terminate black lives and white ones, too." McFarlin says Democratic Party officials are considering several possible actions, including a formal censure.
