Developer Planning To Bring Back Columbus Skyscraper

amazon.com

A local developer says he wants to bring an iconic skyscraper that was torn down in 1988 back to Columbus.

Clyde Gosnell of the architectural firm Karlsberger and Associates plans to construct a building reminiscent of the 16-story Christopher Inn on East Broad Street, where the School Employees Retirement System is now.  Gosnell says the new concept is faithful to the original design with modern updates and  memorabilia from the old building.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
