State health officials Thursday reported more than 13 hundred new cases of COVID-19 and 50 new deaths.
The state now has 127,112 cases and 4,226 deaths. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says cases are increasing dramatically among 18- to 22-year-olds, with many traced to students going back to college:
Ohio State University Thursday reported 1,052 students tested positive for COVID-19 between August 14 and September 1. Twenty two employees tested positive in August. Wednesday the school reported 882 students and 20 employees tested positive. The school blames off-campus parties and students failing to adhere to safety guidelines.
