Documents Show Cardinal Health Shipped Millions Of Hydrocodone, Oxycodone Pills To WVA

U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration records show Dublin-based Cardinal Health shipped 241 million hydrocodone and oxycodone pills to West Virginia between 2007 and 2012. The figures were disclosed in a 2015 court document filed as part of an ongoing lawsuit filed by the state. It alleges Cardinal Health helped fuel the state's prescription drug problem. Attorney General Patrick Morrisey recused himself from the lawsuit in 2013. His wife at the time lobbied for Cardinal Health in Washington. She resigned the account earlier this year. A Cardinal Health spokesperson declined comment.
