Downtown YMCA Building To Close

ymcacolumbus.org

The 95-year-old downtown YMCA facility is closing, because officials say it is too costly to renovate.

The Franklin County Auditor’s office says the value of the building is 5.85 million dollars. The building on West Long Street will be closed in stages over the next three to five years. Officials say they will build three or four new buildings in the central city with supportive services and a new health and wellness space next summer.
