Driver Of School Bus That Crashed Thursday Lacked A Valid License

The Ohio Highway Patrol says the driver of a Northern Local Schools bus that crashed into a vehicle in Perry County Thursday had a suspended license.

Investigators says there was a warrant out for his arrest. They also say the driver has not had a valid license since 2000 and has two OVIs on his record. Eight students and the driver were injured when another vehicle ran a stop light at State Routes 204 and 13.  None of the student injuries are life-threatening. The driver is hospitalized in Columbus with serious injuries.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
