E. Coli Concerns Prompt Giant Eagle To Recall Certain Types Of Lettuce

Giant Eagle stores in central Ohio are recalling red-leaf and green-leaf lettuce because of the risk of E. coli contamination.

The supermarket chain says customers who bought the lettuce between December 3rd and the 14th with PLU codes 4075 or 4076 should throw it out and take their receipt to Giant Eagle for a refund.  Stores known to be affected include those in Blacklick, Pickerington, New Albany and Lancaster, on Britton Parkway in Hilliard, Stelzer Road in Gahanna, and Hamilton Road in Groveport.
