The state Ethics Commission says Ohio State University President Gordon Gee did not willfully do anything wrong when he left some travel expenses off his financial disclosure statements. The commission's investigation was triggered by an examination of Gee's travel expenses by the Dayton Daily News. The newspaper found that since 2007 OSU has paid more than 1 million dollars in travel costs for Gee, including 409 thousand last year. The figure is roughly 20 percent higher than Gee initially reported. The Commission says the omissions were inadvertent, and Gee may add to his statements.
