The former Mount Carmel Health System doctor accused of ordering fatal doses of painkillers for dozens of patients is asking a Franklin County court to consolidate 27 lawsuits filed against him and the system.
In court filings, attorneys for 43-year-old William Husel deny he negligently or intentionally caused the deaths. They say the court should streamline the process and avoid added costs and delays.
