Expert Says COVID-19 Curfew Not Enough To Stop The Spread

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says the statewide curfew he called for last week is one of the ways to curb the surge of coronavirus cases, but some medical experts say curfews are not effective strategies.

Johns Hopkins University infectious disease expert Doctor Amesh Adalja says Ohio’s curfew could backfire because it encourages people to gather with others in their homes, rather than in businesses where masking and social distancing measures are in place.  He says officials should instead focus on ramping up testing, and prioritize case investigations:
