Governor Mike DeWine at Facebook announcement

Facebook has just opened its new data center in New Albany.

And more buildings are coming.

The social media giant announced today it will be adding two new facilities on that campus in the next two years, bringing the total investment to more than $2 billion and 150 total jobs.  Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says this is great news for Central Ohio.

"This [data center] is investment in the future. And the announcement today that they are going to expand and build more buildings and employ more people is certainly good news. It’s good news for our construction workers, our trades men and women who built this magnificent building and they are going to be doing more work.”

Facebook is making investments outside of it's new campus as well, with thousands of dollars in donations to New Albany and area schools
